Week 7 – Dark Days Happen to Everyone I’ve been quite sick in the last week and was forced to miss a few classes in hopes of shaking this thing. It was so frustrating to be so under the weather, all I wanted to do was come to class but all I could do was sleep. It’s discouraging because I was finally hitting such a stride with my workouts and now I will have to get myself back to that place. Over the weekend I was so stressed out about missing class and being sick and found myself really questioning why I’m doing this challenge. I’ve been working out so much and so hard and I think that my efforts finally got the best of me and my body was forced to take a much needed break. Dark days, but Kelly told me that it’s normal and ” the type of conditioning we do in Muaythai is very hard on the body at first, it takes time to harden the body to a ‘fighter’ status”. I suspect it’s gonna take me a few more classes to get my strength and stamina back but I’ve regained my focus and I feel like I have enough momentum to get through the rest of this challenge.
