Good morning! Let’s kick off the week right and pretend it’s not minus whatever-it-is outside by taking a look at another Kwest fighter profile.
Those of you who were at the fights in December are probably wondering what happened to one of our fighters. Sadly, I don’t have any photos of his fight but we couldn’t close the book on Rumble at the R.O.C.C. without a big high five for James Vargscarr. In addition to having a pretty cool last name, James is one of the most unwavering MauyThai enthusiasts we have at our club. When James and his wife, Karrie, joined Kwest, they jumped in with both feet and were instantly two of the most recognizable faces at the gym day in and day out. Single-minded in his focus, James has spent more time in a Fight Camp than not in the last 1.5 years and it shows. This last Fight Camp leading up to the December fight was his best so far and if there was an award given for “most improved” over the Camp, it would have gone to James. Always the first to hand in his “homework”, always the last to be in the gym still working on something Kru Kelly talked about that day, James shows everyone that heart and will and dedication go a long long way. So check out these shots of James training hard with his Fight Camp captain, Jordan. James, you may not have had your hand raised at the end of that fight but let’s see it up there right now! You’re a fine example of the dedication, humbleness and respect that should not be lost from the art of MuayThai. Congratulations!
